Refresco – the global independent beverage solution provider has deployed the BrabourneCallPoint solution at its Kegworth plant.
BrabourneCallPoint is designed to enable first aiders to attend an incident quickly and effectively.
It utilizes the new on site DMR radio network, also supplied by Brabourne, to instantly send call point locations directly to first aiders Hytera HP565 DMR radios. These trained staff members can then use their first aider radios to coordinate a suitable response. The previous system only allowed for a first aider to receive a text message so the new system makes sure that an injured person receives a quicker response.
The new system also means that only the most appropriate first aiders are deployed.
The Refresco Kegworth facility comprises multiple buildings across a 38 acre site.
The 33 call point locations are positioned at key locations across the site and operate over a Hytera DMR Tier II radio network. The addition of this radio network allows other users access to site wide mobile communications such as engineering and site services teams.
A 24 call point system is planned to be deployed at another Refresco site in Milton Keynes in the next few weeks.
A spokesperson at Refresco commented – “we selected the BrabourneCallPoint solution as it met our requirements, specifically to make our first aiders more responsive to any incident. It also means that only the most suitable first aiders are deployed. We didn’t have this capability with the old system”
